Sitting at home kinda bored and thinking about doing a little fishing. Thinking abt going to the marina at Ray Hubbard. Since the rain stopped, would it be a good time to go for some night fishing for cats. Anyone think is a good idea? And what baits would be good after the rain?

I've never had much luck after the rain, but who knows. I've been told (seems to be true) that the rain sters up all the bait in the water and so the fish get full and don't want to eat as much. But I also hear to fish by the feeder creeks right after it rains for the catfish. They'll be waiting there for all the stered up bait to come into the main lake. Fresh shad I think is always a good choice for them cats. Good Luck

Hey I think you can cach fish sometimes better after a rain. Especially if it cools things down a bit. Lotafish seems to know what he is talking about. The feeder creeks are good the fresh water really turns the catfish on.

Drop it in front of them and they will eat it!!!
