Took my daughter and what a beautiful morning. No wind until the front blew in. Didn't catch alot but managed a dozen or so. Best went 18-3/4" but most were dinks. She didn't want to fish but enjoyed reeling in Dad's fish. Don't know how to post pics but have a few if someone can tell me how

Thanks for the report and it looked like a great day on the water. I liked her running commentary.

I was there as well. I didn't hear about anyone doing real well yesterday. We got four or five. I was surprised with the lack of bites. It seems they had been biting better earlier in the week. I did foul hook about ten tilapia. They were attacking my rattle trap. Wish the bass had the same mentality. Great picture of you fishing partner.

Brandon, yes there is some grass in the lake. Pretty much all over. Look for the coots and you should find the grass. There didn't seem to be alot of fish in the grass Fri but there should be some if the weather is warming. Look for areas where the cranes and egrets are working the grass areas. These areas are holding bait fish which attract both the cranes and the bass. Right now the fish are transitioning to the deeper break lines and humps/ridges in 12-30'. Watch your graph for balls of bait fish and either throw a CR or a jigging spoon. Good luck

I was out there Fri. My dad and I managed to get 15. Half before the wind hit and the other half after it hit. Caught them all 2-10ft on traps and chatter baits. We had to tick the grass to get bit. We were on the north end and saw a Bobcat leap into the coots. It went under the water for a few seconds, popped up and walked out with a coot in its mouth. One of the coolest things I've seen. Good Luck
