Does anyone know what bait to use to catch drum consistantly? I want to try some of these for bait on my trotline as I have heard they are good bait. What do you think, are they worth the effort. Thanks

Worms have produced more drums. I would say minnows would be a second choice.

I use crawfish in the spring for blues and redfish, we always catch some gaspers on it. I think crawfish are a favorite food for gasper.

In reality the best way to catch drum is to be fishing for another species. laugh

Drum are pretty good bait. TexasBlonde is exactly right. I usually catch drum throwing roadrunners for whites. I almost get disappointed if I don't catch at least one. If you want to catch a bunch, use crawdads.
