Today was my last trip for 2010. Jon B. from Oklahoma and myself put 28 bass in the boat today with the biggest being around 7 lbs. It was to windy to take the time to weigh it so you will just have to trust me. We caught our fish on rattle traps in 4 to 8 ft of water. We had about a dozen others get away but that's trap fishing. We didn't get any pics of the biggest but here is a couple of nice ones.

Way to get that last trip of the year in. Some of those Fork bass almost come out black. Trying to make it out there in 2011.

I know it's hard to believe but this was the first day that I have fished shallow since the end of September. I have been catching insane numbers of fish deep and it has been hard to leave. I gave Jon the choice this morning and shallow is what he wanted to do. The numbers are less but the quality is great.

I too was on Fork today in all that wind and had some good success but I noticed one thing about your fish and it "appears" to be like the ones I caught. They do not seem to be fattening up yet. I had a 22 1/2 inch bass that only weighed 5 lb 10oz, and another one that was 20 inches and only 4 1/2 lbs. Both large fish but just not as fat as I thought they would be this time of year. Maybe the camera angle or shot did not do your fish justice that is why I ask if any of your fish appeared to be as I described.

We must have been in the wrong place today. This was the first skunk I had all year and it really hurt with the beating we took from the wind. Had a decent day yesterday for size and numbers on channel swings, but today was one lost fish on a trap and one on a spoon.

+1..we went from 830ish til noonish and then TM broke....only boated two before the TM breakage, one apiece ...driver snagged one on a jig and I snagged a trap fish..both solid borderline unders, but dang sure aint nothing to brag about......hadn't been there in a WHILE, even tho I'm right down the street.. kinda depressing, ended up having him take me back home after we can't figure out the TM problem, snag a pizza from Veronas, open a beer, and fish my catfish pond in the back half of my acres while my dogs ran around and we enjoyed a near 70degree december '10 day...... cant complain...at all...ever......

It is a little over 3 foot low and they are pumping more water out every day.

Mr. Hancock. The darker fish in the picture was slim. Might have been a male or old. The majority of the fish were chunks. They still have a couple months for egg development.

Man, that's a great day! We fished from 7 am until 3:30 and caught 8. And we worked our tails off for those. My buddy broke off twice, and both times were from inexperience. His first bite of the morning was a good fish-5 or 6 lbs.-and he broke it off carelessly. Made him sick. He only had 3 more bites all day, and missed one of those. I really thought we would catch more fish yesterday, but we couldn't fish some areas I wanted to work.

At one point, just south of the 515 bridge, my TM pedal flipped over and my TM was spinning. I asked my partner to slide up on the deck and turn the power setting all the way down so it wouldn't run when the pedal flipped again. As soon as he kneeled onto the front deck, I took a wave right over the front. Before I could get him off of the deck, we took 3 more over the front. It was COLD. It took me at least 2 hours to get dried off.
