Make sure you find out who the prosecuting attorney is and let them know you'd appreciate it if they would do more than just give them a slap on the wrist. It can help if they know just how much you are put out. I know a guy who owned a business who had an incident happen in his place of business (Its too long of a story to go into what happened). He went to the prosecutor and told him that he wanted the scumbag prosecuted and for the prosecutor to recommend the toughest sentence allowable. The scumbag had no priors so he got probation, but the kicker is that it was a felony the scumbag had to plead guilty to and he will always be a felon from now on. The prosecutor was only going to go after a misdemeanor. So now, if the scumbag ever screws up again, he'll go up the river for awhile. Food for thought.
