I'm sort of new to crappie fish... Is there something special about the sickle hooks, or is it just a preference thing?

Pondbass I compliment you on the combination of colors in the first two pictures and the last one. Not too many times do I see a hand tied jig that I would go out and buy. the three I mentioned I would be own top of them in a heartbeat, good workmanship. Keep up the good work.

Beautiful work!!

"Is there something special about the sickle hooks"

The sickle hooks seem to be sharp as razors.

I see an algebra equation here. 1B X Ft=BLC. One bunch of these, times a fishing trip equals a Big Limit of Crappie!!

Good work!!

Great looking jigs and color combos. #1 & #2 are pretty close to a jig I have tied and used as my goto jig in the Concho River @ Lake Ivey. They will put some slabs in your basket.
