 Lowrance HDS Question

If I was to buy a HDS 7 with Transducer and a HDS 5 without + LSS-1 what would I need to hook them together so they can use the same transducer? I was told I would need just 1 $50 Ethernet cable is that true or is there anything else?

True.
But I will say that I am not familiar enough with the new HDS line to assure you that the LSS capabilities work on the HDS 5. As far as sharing a transducer - yes, ethernet cable will allow you to do so. I'm about to do it on my boat as well with two LCX units.

Nope. Ethernet will allow the units to share sonar.

Thanks, good to know. I want to link my HDS 5 and HDS 10 on the console to one transducer.
