That's exactly why I quit going there a) on weekends, b) during Holidays.

Sorry I forgot about that one...that was the reason I quit fishing it.

I prefer to fish Monticello anytime monday - friday. Then the only morons I have to deal with are on the highway with the traffic

I think everybody should just be happy that we even get to go fishing. things happen and then they go away just be glad you are alive to fish another day

I know how you feel, but most of my frustration comes from wakeboarders during the summer when fishing riprap and bridge pillers on hubbard. They just keep going back and forth throwing a massive wake, I have actually had to duck so I did not hit my head on the bottom of the bridge and have almost been thrown off the front a few time. It takes a lot of self control and a cool headed partner to keep me from tossing a rattle trap over their tow line� Atleast they are only out during the summer.

With all my frustration built up currently I would have invited him to the front deck of my boat and would have kicked the [censored] out of him. I know a few of you guys will call BS, but that is how I roll with the state of mind I am currently in.

they are on other lakes too just at these lakes the concentrations are so high it makes it seem like ALL of them are there

actually heard two guy's talking in the fishing section at wal-mart, the one was looking for a crankbait he had seen someone catching fish on and he starts telling his buddy about how this guy was catching all these fish and they weren't , so He gets close enough to see what they were catching them on and then brags to this guy how he turned his prop at this man's boat and takes off full throttle, both have a big laugh talking about how he almost washed him up on the bank and ended his fishing and how he's looking for that same bait so he can go back and catch those fish. sometimes they plan it

It happens on every lake. I have a great story of an incident that took place on RR in the early days. Did you know it takes less than a minute to prop wash a boat full of water at 5000 rpm? I was a different person then, that was my BC days and jacking with me while I was fishing was never a good option.
Now days it frustrates me but I tend to roll with it when I can.

Keep an eye out for the old cooter with a red ranger. He has old style lean-on butt seats. That SOB idles right between everyone fishing.
