 When is it too cold to fish.

We went out on Ray Hubbard yesterday water temp 47, air temp 31, winds 5-7 from the north. The plastic lures several times would explode when they hit the rocks and fishing line was very brittle. We got skunked. After loose too much gear, we just played with the side imaging and burned out the old fuel for winterizing.

Sounds like you need to change your line and learn how to cast. +1...dosent normally get too cold to fish in Texas

I went out to Grapevine yesterday and didn't get anywhere near a fish. We did a lot of scouting for future prospects. It shall be called a structure hunting trip 
you know, nothing wrong with seven men who met on the internet going for a swim together

18 degrees at launch, high 38 was too cold. Any warmer and I'm ok.

get married and have kid(s).... then it willl NEVER NEVER NEVER be too cold, too rainy, too "whatever"- to go fishing  Enjoy every chance you get Yall shoulda went to Squaw Creek!! yall woulda had 100 fish by lunchtime!!!

I went out Christmas morning with my old man... Worst I have ever seen Conroe. It was 35 with 25mph winds. Constantly taking water over the cap. Dad called it quits around 10:30... I had just found some schools in a creek too!

Never too cold.
Have fished many times while "skating" on the front deck, admittedly dont enjoy it when its that cold but fish will still bite.

i fished Christmas mornin on moss and yesterday on Texoma. had a 3.5 on moss and a 4.5 on texoma. When it gets too cold , put on more clothes and tough it out. The fish dont get too cold to eat
