Just got the Minomax for Christmas! I'm heading to the lake in 7 hours to test it out. So for those of you who have wondered if this thing really works... I will give you an answer soon. Wish me luck!

I am curious how it'll work. You might have a hard time getting anything in this cold water, but it's possible.

Best chance you'll have at catching something this time of the year are deep water docks. If you can find some in 15ft water or more with lights you should be able to get something. Good luck!

Not to rain on your parade, but you're going to have a hard time finding anyone on here that has used one. Of those who have, results haven't been very impressive.

Hey guys, I tried out the minomax today, and didn't catch one minnow using it. I tossed it in about 5 feet of water and dragged it along the shoreline a few times. I also tried walking out to a long extended boat ramp and dragged it in deeper water. The first thing I noticed was that when you throw it, the roap sometimes tangles within itself. Also the net does not always deploy like it's supposed to. The main issue I have with it is that it feels like you have to pull it awfully slow to keep it submerged, which makes me feel as if there were minnows in there, they could easily escape. I just got home, and the Minomax is nowhere to be found. I left it at the lake... but the thing is, I don't even feel the need to go back to get it.

Getting the throw of it down takes a bit of practice, but I never really had any problems with mine.

Ah, you're the one that was hacked that the Minomax guy didn't use you for video production.
Have you ever actually used one, or do you just like to gripe about products that you have absolutely no firsthand knowledge about?
I use mine all the time, and I haven't had to buy minnows for some time now. It's great, particularly when you can see minnows schooling by a dock or weed edge. Used mine at both Lakes Whitney and Brownwood this year with fine results.
One note of caution - There must be minnows in its path to actually catch them. Otherwise, it's like being mad at your rod when you're not catching fish in your toilet.

Why are you trying to knock on Coreywms, I went back and looked at the previous post about this minnowmax and it seemed then like someone pis*ed in your cereal. he had his opinion and with the evidence provided by all the other post, EXCEPT YOU, there ARE NO other post speaking of it in a good way. I do remember some saying they were gonna buy it but ONLY YOU speak well of it.
If you have money invested in the minnowmax, say so.
If not, I value your opinion on the product, not other posters here.
Chill----

Chill---- Got no money invested in the Minomax, and if you really do value the opinion of someone that's used the product, then you've got no reason to uphold any unsubstantiated griping as is provided by Corey in the past. He's had a burr in his britches about the Minomax since he said he contacted Minomax about doing video for their website and then when they didn't respond to him, he began railing on the product. No respect is owed toward anyone who acts that way over a product they haven't used, even if the company dared to ignore unsolicited requests for service. Seems pretty disingenuous to me. Of course, he's entitled to his opinion, just as I am. Can't really complain about the OP though, since he's actually tried it, and was giving a report. Hate that he didn't have good luck with it.

You sure are, and I'm entitled to think you are over reacting to his post and acting like a%%.
I don't expect you to care,

I don't expect you to care +1 Wouldn't ever say you weren't entitled to speak your mind though, whether or not you agree with me.

PoliSciGuy, why are you quick to get upset with me, when everybody on here says the same thing. I offered them a video so that they could show that the product works. You're upset because i agree with the comments of folk that have used the product. As bbop1111 said, everyone is entitled to their opinion. PoliSciGuy, i'm glad that you're happy with your minnowmax. Just check the previous threads about this product and you're basically the only one that has a positive review. FYI, i had nothing to gain by doing a video for them. I was trying to be helpful.
