Dixie B - use them!! If you can keep some alive, big blues and flatheads won't turn them down. Cutting them up is great for channels and blues.

around 10' close to a drop off will get you plenty of big fish.

At night sure they will come up to eat. If you can see shad in the water they will feed closer to the top. The closer you can get to a channel, or structure like a treeline bridge colums, rock boulders, ditch, the better your odds will be.

dixie basser, what area of Texoma are you fishing....Maybe I can help....Been fishing Texoma for many a year. Structure like Curtis speaks of is kind of rare on Texoma, but there is some other good structure if you know where to look.

Those big gizzards or goldeneyes that you are catching will make good trotline bait, but I would recommend you turn them into cut bait.

bassassion , sshhhh !! Don't let everyone else know what you know ! I caught a 42 pound blue juggin, and 36 pound flathead, several in the 20's, bunches in the teens, and thousands 10 pound and less range, out of hubbard in my lifetime, oh i mean out of lavon, or wait it could be cedar creek, or maybe it was fork !
