 Granbury or Whitney Opening 12-26 / Split trip!

I have an opening tommorrow 12-26. Winds will be low and it will be cold which is perfect for stripers. Chase some of the great stripers to 10lbs I have been catching on Granbury or work the river above Whitney for the same type fishing with the possibility of catching a double digit fish to 15lbs. Check out some of my recent posts on Granbury.

Mike when you say the river above whitney, what general area do you mean? I know with the river/lake low its not possible to go much past Ham Creek launch even with a bay boat. Do you consider from the Plowman Creek/Nolan river area and above to be the river area of Whitney?

You can still launch at Kimball Bend and there is plenty of water to fish in that part of the river. painted rock is about as far up as I go right now.

bigmiket is asking if anyone wants to split a trip on Granbury tomorrow. It is him and his son. If there is anyone, pls get with bigmiket. I did get out christmas morning for the 1st hour and caught two, but the winds were too much.
