I have a question.... I downloaded an update for my humminbird its the 797c2si from humminbird web site, the software upgrade instaled perfect now its showing screens for down imaging. my question Is will the unit display down imaging as is or do I have to buy a new transducer. thanks guys, and have a merry christmas.

As long as you have the side imaging transducer you are good to go. The down imaging was basically a software upgrade that let's the unit interpret what is under it.
