I have runnig debate with my brother . If you had a choice whether you prefer a smallmouth over 7lb or a largemouth over ten. I think both fish are equal trophies in my book. But smallmouth fight so hard and put a largemouth to shame in the fight game. I've reeled in 5lb largemouth in less than five minutes but 5lb smallmouth you got to really play him they'll pull drag and jump like crazy But there's something about a big largemouth that'll make your jaw just drop. I'm so divided . Which would you prefer?

I guess you better go fish Lake Dale Hollow in tennessee for that monster. That lake is like fork when you set the hook you just never know. It could you PB smallmouth and possible world record smallmouth. That what I think when I fish fork the next cast could be your PB or the a world record

i'd take the largemouth anyday. I've still yet to break 10#s.

That's too easy. I don't count the 10#ers I catch out there towards my PB.

since I have caught several over 10lb LMB, and I have come up just short on the 7 lb mark on smallies a couple of times, the 7 lb smallie would be an accomplishment.

Gimme the #10. I've come close to the #7 smallie already, but not even close to a #10 LMB.

Smallmouth every day of the year

Ive caught the 10 plus but not even close to 7 pound smallie, so id take the Smallie. I think a better comparison would be 6# smallie or 10# bass.

And it should be SAL or 7# smallie hah.
