Just noticed that my HDS 5 (Lake Insight) shows roadbeds and my HDS 7 (Insight USA) does not. Bought the HDS 5 months after I bought the 7.
The HDS 5 shows that I have version 3.1 of Fishing Hotspots and the HDS 7 shows version 3.0
Why should I have to spend $100 on a SD card to only add roadbeds to the 7? Why did it not come pre-loaded? The setting options on the 7 contains "Submerged Roads". It shows everything but roadbeds.
Is it possible to network the 2 units together and display the roadbed from the 5 onto the 7? Or does networking only function in regards to the sonar? Even better, does Lowrance have a fix for this issue?
Thanks for anyone that has any "Insight" on this issue.

Some time ago on another forum, I saw a post that was put up by one of the Lowrance rep's there that said you could contact Lowrance support, give them your mapping version number and they would send an SD card with updated mapping on it (free).
Don't know if that is fact, but probably worth a shot!

C. That was for earlier models of the HDS family. Not recent current production models or date of manufacture.
