In other words, you'd better have a partner runnin the boat while your checking lines.

Use live perch right now if you want Big Fish, North of 66 in the trees in water 12-15ft is good.....If the Bass Fisherman leave it alone. Along the rocks will produce also but mostly Channels as they are spawning right now. Jugs line are more versatile on relocating in a quick manner if there is no good results in one area, much easier to relocate to find fish. Big Flatheads and Blue Cats are more likely to be around sand bar humps during the night.

Don't get me wrong....I got nothing against the crappie fisherman either, heck I'm one right now, but my buddy's had 4-5 lines cut under 66. The two he found had crappie jigs stuck in them...... ......he's since relocated and is doing much better.

try the coves near the trees on the south side of 66 before 30, put em between 10-15 ft. only small coves over there but nice size cats there. me and a bud put 3 jugs out and produced pretty nice, 16lb, 4lbs, and a couple of 2-3lbs. haven't noticed any trot lines there though, try a jug. good luck

we used fresh cut shad, big pieces catch tha big fish, our smaller pieces caught tha smaller fish, sorry for not including that, try several small pieces on one hook if thats all you got. fishermans sells most of tha time if you don't catch your own.

Try going North approx 1/4 mile past the Golf Course @ the Shores.Out in the timber you will see where an old roadbed runs east and west(Dalton Rd.). Follow the opening going west until you get to the River. Use your Graph and you can't miss it!!! This is where you will find quanity and quality size fish. I also agree with fishing with Perch. Your lines will be safe in this area. Theres not much Boat traffic back in the timber.

Bassassion, if you are under the 66 bridge, go south towards the I-30, right befor you get to the trees the water come up to about 16'. I think there is an old road bed or something there. Just keep your eye on the depth finder. I do not set out lines but I would think that would be a good place.
