Going to one of these two places. Any suggestions on where to go? Fishing from shore, Im taking my kids with. Where would it be better?

With kids, Rollover definitly better. pick up some bait at the Bluewater marina near the big store, also some available near the pass. SLP can be very productive & more room for the kids to run around, but currents are dangerous. If kids are small, don't let them get too close to the water

Thanks. Is there any fish being caught at Rollover? Anybody know? Should I fish close to the bridge or further down?

I never could catch anything by the bridge except for trash fish. I go all the way to one end or the other depending on tide.

From what I hear, flounder are still running. Get some live mullet if you can, shrimp will work, but you'll be feeding the hardheads as well. I prefer the gulf side close to the end as I can get on an incoming tide, bay side also popular. If you go on a weekend, it'll be crowded

if you head down there, head east on I-10 and go through Winnie. Ferry is down to two boats for the next few weeks and it's going be a zoo on the Galveston side

Check the traffic cams before you leave. My kids love the ferry and its worth the wait for them vs. driving thru Winnie.
