Fellows - went out with Benny of Big Crappie guide service and had a good time on the vine. Despite the cool whether, light winds, we had blue bird skies and had a lot high barometric pressure, yet we managed some very nice fish during the day. I learned a number of important new techniques, better terminal and main equipment to use in the future and overall, had a great time.

Having fished this nice water on several occasions and getting skunked in the past, this trip was well worth it. I can't wait to get on this lake with Benny in the summer months.

I would recommend Benny to anyone who desires to learn more about crappie and white bass fishing on Lake Grapevine.

It sure is nice to be able to pick someones brain with a lifetime of knowledge for a few hours isn't it.
Trial and error works but it sure is slow.

Correction and apology: (never write notes to this forum when you are 1/2 asleep).

Benny is with The Crappie Guy guide service (Guy Skinner). I'm sure most of you guys figured this out already.

Thanks John. I thought there for a minute that Benny had 'defected' to the other camp. I spoke with Benny last night and he said you guys got some good 'uns even though it was a tough bite.
