Was wondering if anyone has used the Helium LTA line up, the Magnesium, and Argon series. I am going to buy 3 rods coming up and was highly considering these models for their value online and i really like the action of my carbon steel 7'6 H, i would just like better sensitivity.

Also on the helium series, they have a 7'6 H and 7'6 XH. From what ive read, the H is more like a MH if anyone could comment, that would be awesome. The magnesium i was looking at was 7'8 H and the argon was 7'5H

I recently purchased a brand new in the plastic 7'2" (or maybe it was 7'1")Kistler Argon heavy action on eBay. This guy has several! Got mine for $79 on auction. He also had them for $99 "buy it now". Very nice rod and is the dark blue blank. They sold for over $200 about a year ago. Came in a PVC tube.

One of the Kistler's I have is the Helium LTA 7'0" Heavy and it's a fairly stiff rod that I use for pitching jigs and worms-I wouldn't consider it a MH by any means.
Also have a couple of Argons-they are extremely light and good rods for the money, especially the prices they are now!

I fish mostly kistler rods. I have the helium and the magnesium rods and like the magnesium just about as well as the helium and they are are a good bit cheaper. You can find them new on ebay from online retailers for a real good price.

Look up the Simmon's Sporting Goods Store on Ebay. They generally have great deals on Kistler rods.

I have kistler magnesiums, argons and heliums. I am partial to the argons, especially for 99 bucks at simmons. I have like 15 of them, ouch!

I have one of the Kistler Magnesium TS rods 6'10" and the only problem I have with it is I wish I had 3 more! Great rods....sensitive and light. I am pairing it with a Citica 200e using 15lb Seaguar Invisix and it performs beautifully. Hope this helps.

I've had a kistler Magnesium for a couple of years, liked it so I bought two of the Kistler Magnesiums with micro guides. Only used them once, but I really like the micro guides for braid.

The Heliums are lighter and more sensitive, but I can set the hook like a mad man with a Magnesium and not worried about breaking.

Kistler and Powell are both good rods for the money

Thanks, Billy
