I am thinking about making a trip to Choke Canyon Saturday. Does any one have a suggestion or would you stay around San Antonio and hit Dunlap? Not sure which I should go for. Thanks for the input.

Havent been to Choke recently but fished Dunlap last Sunday. Partner and I caught several good fish in the 8-12 ft depth range off of wood. Good Luck where ever you go!

Fished Dunlap several days ago. Fish were in deeper water between 17 and 20 feet of water. Fished creek beds and also around structure. Used everything from spinner baits, crank baits, to soft plastics. Good luck.

Club had a tourney last wek-end on Choke. Caught some good fish in the cove past Mason's point. Biggest being an 8.27lb by a fellow member. Live on Dunlap and fishing is a bit slow. Fish the channel swings where you find submerged trees. Pull a black and blue 1/2 ounce jig through them. Oh, Shallow running cranks on Choke. Hope this helps.

Calliham state park - they've got a campground and cabins there.
