8.02 on Conroe during a Media Tournament in 2009. Carolina Rig, 12' of water. Had two others on Somerville that might have been bigger, but I didn't put them on a scale.

With the length, sounds like a very un healthy fish, that could of had united states record potential! Wow that's awesome!

11.6 at Choke Canyon in May of 09 I think. Really can't remember, but I do remember this. There was a Bass Champs tourney going on the same day me and my best friend went. It was hot. We were coming around a point when one of the boats in the tourney hauled butt to cut us off. Being I fish tournaments and wasn't fishing one that day; I used the trolling motor and backed out to deeper water. I started maneuvering around them and in the process started throwing a DD-22 version made by H2O in a white, almost pearl color. The second cast and almost 10ft from the back of their boat in about 13ft of water the beast laid in to it. As we netted her in the boat those guys seemed excited just to see it, but I now from experience that they were dying inside thinking about what that fish would have added to their limit. Funny for me and I had a great replica made. She still swims free. This year if caught pre-spawn that fish would weigh around 15 maybe more. Gonna be some giant fish caught this year out of Choke in early spring

with or without the crappie? laugh

Without. Those things love crappie out there, In both cases I did recover the crappie and both were keepers. I have had 3 more that eat crappie but I did not get a hook in them.

Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

Only 4.12 so far. On the bright side, new PBs are a good possibility every cast.

Buzzfrog-seriously, thought I had my 1st 10 lbr with her size/length. I admit, I was disappointed when we weighed her. I caught tons of Miami canal fish that went 7 + lbs, but never any this size. She looked healthy, just skinny. I can only guess she had come off the bed because I caught her in February timeframe. She was released and hopefully she stretches someone elses line...
