I just spoke with my father...it appears these jack wagons hit a lot of boats in Long Branch. I will have more delails in the morning. This kind of stuff pisses me off...all of the boats were in boat houses...my father lost his graphs and tackle...worst thing they took a box of Gandy custom paints..

most of the folks that live in this small area are retired. I would bet 98% dont even know what the TFF is....they live a simple life....they fish some times and rest some times...they dont know or hear about all of the problems around Fork. Long Branch is one road in and one road out...if you dont know someone in that area - you dont go down that road....my father has lived there for 11 years...this is the first time there has been a problem in this area....who ever it was knew what they were doing....they only took the high dollar baits and graphs.

That really sucks Rodney. Sorry for your losses. I don't have a boathouse, now, don't think I do want one. With all the techno prevention gadgets out there now, we still can't seem to get a handle on this problem. What's it gonna' take? Claymores, trip wires, punji pits, set guns, a bitin' dog on every dock?
This ain't the nam....or is it? Best to you and yours. I would
wish they keelhauled the guilty ones, but know they will just
probate them back at us.

It will happen again..several time each year.
If you leave your boat in the water or at a motel loaded with all your stuff in it, sooner or later you'll get hit.
I spent $700 for 4 color cameras at my place...
There is no way we could ever be hit with our security.

The worse part about hearing stuff like this is knowing that the people that do this know what to steal so that means they are fisherman. Just can't believe a fisherman would do something like this.

Karma has a funny way of catching up to them.

I am a firm believer in karma I had someone do me dirty and he got hit with bad luck 10 times as bad. I don't live very far feom Long Branch so maybe they will try me.

Thieves hit Fork - there is a title we have not seen here before. I go there every year but not this year. To many crooks and not enough being done about it.

Puma Jim I hope you will change your mind. Local business owners depend on the spring traffic to balance there books through the slow months. December is a big month for thieves, they also seem to target big event weekends. You just have to take the extra precautions, it sucks but this is going on everywhere in this current economy. What sucks the most is these guys are anglers and know what they are stealing.
Hope you will reconsider.
