If my tilt and trim goes out on the water, are there ways to raise the motor?

I thought I could find a breakdown of the tilt and trim ,but the only ones I can find you can't see it very well. There should be a screw on the side of the cylinder or the pump to relive the pressure. You unscrew it and that allows you to manauly raise the motor.
Hope this helps alittle
