I have been hearing of anglers catching monster flatheads from the bank at Martin Creek. My Brothers friend caught a 64 pounder today but won't give up where at Martin. The fish was skinned up a little so I figure it came from around one of the bridges. I would like to fish this lake but know nothing of where, any ideas?

Turn onto FM 2658 off of Hwy 43. Drive 3 miles. Look on the pole out int the water. There are several big cat heads nailed to it. Lots of channels and blue in the area also.

Caught about a 7 or 8# flathead on a night-
crawler one time. Only time I have ever had that happen.

Throw to the power plant side. There is a good current coming under the bridge.

On the other side there is an underwater bridge just to the right of the existing bridge. Good bass on that side but more likely to get hung catfishing on that side.

spent all day at the dirgin bridge (found the power pole with the big cat heads nailed to it). Used Hog Wild Original and vanilla soaked shrimp on jug lines. Fished before the bridge, past the bridge, and even went up past the other bridge. Caught a grand total of 2 channells. Should I start fishing at night instead of day time?

The fish I heard of biting there were flatheads.. For flatheads you need live bream, they seldom take stink bait.. Was anyone else fishing the bridge with big rods? If so watch them..
