Has anyone bought one yet. I'm thinking of the Smoke reel and the micro guide rod.

I've got one on my Christmas list. I've got a new MB873 blank I need to build out for myself and the smoke would sure feel good on it.

can't vouch for the reel, but the rods feel pretty sweet for $130 (just handled in the store).

Quantum rods tend to be a little underrated IMO. Totally different than their reels...though I'm sure that smoke will be a very high performer out of the box (but for how long is the question...).

Looks like I'm getting the Smoke rod and reel for Christmas. can't wait to try it out. Really can't wait to see how the microguides work out.

My stepson has one and it's light and smooth, cast's a mile
on a light rod you almost don't know your holding anything
Might be the lightest $200 reel out there
