My rod has metal tip guide that broke. The rod is an American Rodsmith and I would like to get advise on tips. Would it be better to put a Fugi tip or something else. What tip do you suggest.
Don't be afraid of the light it is just me looking for a place to fish.

They are Fuji tips to begin with. It would be best to buy one at academy and use the glue that comes with it.

The glue thats comes with the tips is no good. During the hot summer months that glue will allow tip to come loose and either turn or fall off. Get a two part expoy to put tip on with!!

Epoxy would for sure keep it on there. But it seems that if the tip has a insert, it would make more sence to use the glue that comes with them just for the simple fact that if the insert ever comes out and you used epoxy, most likley you would have to remove that portion of the rod.Rod tips are alot cheaper to replace than the rod itself. JMO I have to agree with Ratmo 100%...I would not use two part epoxy...Every rod Ive made Ive used the flex coat hot melt and I have never had an issue with the Texas heat....This includes leaving them in the car with the windows up,and laying across aluminum boats with no carpet. If you were needing to repair the tip again...The two part epoxy will most likely require excessive heat to remove it...An amount of heat that could end up destroying the graphite and fibers of the blank's tip. Ask me how I know;)
