HELP!!!!I have recently made a set a lines up i really like and afriend told me how to after we used his wtih much success. Here is the setup: 1/2 inch pvc or conduit 5 to 6 ft long Drill hole in the collar Insert some type of unfrayable material in a loop threw the hole. Put relective tape at the top of the pole Attach your drop line to the loop and fish away My question is this how long to make my line and how much weight i should put on it. I can not for the life of me remember what we used and can't get in touch with my friend to find out. I do know we had different poles for yellas than blues or channels. I was thinking around 6 to 7 ft.what we did was drive these poles into the bank with a rubber mallet parrallel to the water and they really had enough give to let the fish work and the pole stayed deeply bedded until we took it out.reflectors on the ends for sight at night with a light. ANy ways i made some up and can't remember or think of a god length. I know i can find the answers here! ALso any suggestions on weight would be greatly appreciated to. Thnak you !! Big Country

If you are so inclined and live in the area we will be having an outing at Fairfield Lake this weekend March 14-16. I, and several others, will be using jug lines and R&R to catch catfish. Come out for some good fishing, eating, and fellowship(BS) with catfishers. jk

We will be at the State Park. Just ask at the office for Jackie Kennedy's campsite #. The campsites are at the other end of the lake close to the second boat ramp.
