Sometimes it just doesn't work out. I had today circled on the calendar to go crappie hunting. No work, weather looking great. Then youngest kiddo comes up sick, and Mama has to work. I'll get over it in a couple of hours I guess. I am not believing this. Grrr.

Meh, At least you had the day available to take care of your youngest kiddo. I know it sucks now for you, but I'm sure it means the world to him/her Being a family man isn't always easy but it sure can be rewarding! Better luck next time

I'm over it now, just had to vent earlier! The youngster is feeling better. I'm catching up on cartoons and kids shows! I may still get out at sunset and fish a little early evening.

My oldest daughter, who now has three kids of her own, recently told me that while she appreciated the things I got her, she always cherished the time I spent with her. While I loved hearing that, after thinking about it I now wish I would have spent more time with her and my other kids when they were younger. All I can do now is be the best friend and adviser to my adult children, and never be to busy to be "pepaw."

Reminds me of when my boy was about 8 yrs old and he told me I have to be nice to him cause he was gonna be the one to pick out an old folks home for me when I got old!
