Going to fish Conroe this weekend, maybe the guys who fished last weekend will have some advice.

Most all blues caught last weekend came from 20-30 ft. of water near a channel on humps, drops, and fishing over the channel but suspended. With the water getting warmer I would probably try some shallower water around 10-15 ft. I sat in shallow water but failed to get fish there last weekend. Believe the creeks we fished to be Peach and Caney, but I could be wrong about the names. maybe bigarmed Brett, Kid colby, of Catfish Killer could help you.

try north of 1097 bridge. there is a creek on the east side of the main lake. good fishing in the channel or just beside it. try it from a 1/2 mile north of bridge up to where the national forrest begins. or try caney creek past the public boat ramp. plenty of stumps to tie off to in caney. use range cubes for chum. cheese dip bait with spounge. good luck.

If ya can get som crawfish we caught some nice channels and blues on crawfish!!

Me and Rogc have benn doing pretty good fishing under trees, that have water turkeys roosting on them!! Plenty in Caney Creek!!

thanks for the info. Maybe we can get the boat running this weekend. We tried last weekend but the carbs were a gunked up.
