Where do you put your boat in on Dunlap? I don't see a lake access map on TPWd's website that most lakes have. Thanks!

Right under the IH 35 bridge in New Braunfels. It is a very good ramp. However there is no dock. You have to hold your rope. There is only rock.

From the boat launch, where do you recommend starting. Also, what kind of hazards can i expect and where.

Don't they still have a concrete embankment, cushioned with rubber, to tie up to?
Someone told me there was a ramp at the other end of the lake, where you could launch for a $5 fee. I made a stab at finding it, but the only thing I saw was reserved for local property owners.

Duff, Take fm725 from New braunfels, go about 3-4mi towards Mcqueeney. You will pass a Shell gas station on right at stop light, then Valero station on left and next to that a landscaping bussiness at stop light, the second road after the Valero station should be Schumanns Beach Road,There are some storange buildings there, turn left and follow about 1 mile. You will pass big oak tree in middle of road, about 100yrds later take left then 100ft take right and follow to ramp. Hope this isnt to confusing. As far as hazards are concerned the only thing that is a real problem exists from this ramp to the dam on the left side. IT IS FULL OF STUMPS AND TREES. KEEP TO THE RIGHT SIDE WHEN GOING TOWARD THE DAM!!!!!!!

forget about tying up under 35. if you're by yourself, it's a challenge. i usually beach mine on the rocks...but i'm in an aluminum boat. if i had a glass boat, and were by myself...i'd be a little stressed about that situation. i don't know about the shumans launch, i've only launched under I-35. good luck!
