i know he did the best he could, but thats actually not that great of a fish for december, i'll grab some of the killer traps i've got and go fishing and probably get an 8 or 9, i've got a color they absolutely hate around the spawn its actually the lure that got me sent to the regional tbf for the second time this year, and since this forum is read by who knows how many i'm not posting or naming the color of the rattle trap/lipless crank.

No dog in this hunt, but looks to me like you now have something to prove. If you can do that, what do you care if that fish was a 16" or 17"? Just askin. Thats just it, you never know.Bassenblues fish might very well be big enough to win this month, I thought it was a nice fish.Besides you havent sent in a photo of anything bigger either last month or this month. Id love to see you catch an 8 or 9 pouner, that would be a great fish. You talk the talk, now walk the walk.

Thanx Mr95 - yes...the wind was howling while trying to take that pic - had to
try and shield the paper and keep the fish still, hold the camera, etc.. - that fish still had a lot of fight left - especially for a cold water fish....
There's more & better fish there - I will keep after 'em...

The day I forgot my tape measure=( Oh well,caught this one Saturday at Bethany.. A little skinny at 3.3lbs..but a long fish with a gigantic head. Pressure was a little high that day,and the bite was real slow...Finally found the right rof for a bite;) Next time Ill get the measurement.lol Good times!

Nice fish, to bad you didnt have a tape measure you might have had a winner there. That fish has a huge head, looks like he could use a good meal or two but he should fatten up nicely on those hatchery trout they stock in there. Bet he would weigh twice that much with a full belly
