There is this man in T-Town, who is 85 years old. I invited him fishing on a monday for the next friday. He met me at the coffee shop as planned. We put in at Hwy. 8 bridge in maud. About 10:40 he stood up and took his hat off. I wondered what he was doing, then I saw a funeral procession passing on the bridge. I commented that he was quite a man, paying respect for the person in the funeral. He commented "That is the least he could do, after all they had been married for 53 years.

I like that joke so much I'm stealing it.

Well I am on my FOURTH marriage and it just seems like the women have not learned a damn thing from my past experiences. God bless you my friend.

Only difference between a wedding and a funeral is they let you lay down for one of them!!

Throw her back ..let her grow. There are too many good one's to worry about the others. I caught a crappie with a messed up lip yesterday. I didn't worry about it. She fit in the live well with 13 others just fine!

seriously ..if you truly luv her, you could buy a new boat and name it after her. It would have to be a long boat though .. to fit "The CRAZY *!$#% didn't like fishin' so I sent her packin and now I'm dating her hotter girlfriend who cooks and cleans 'em when I bring 'em home" on the side.

I am very fortunate to have a wonderful wife of 25 years If i want to go fishing she either tells me to have a good time (and means it) or she comes along I could be gone a month and she wouldn't be upset, If i want a new boat or camper i buy it and there's never any hard feelings. If i want to drink a few beers i better be ready to take her along This gal can hang!!!!

Good point there Chuck.
We've been together 33 years.
It's just a matter of "Yes, Dear" and
doing the dishes when I get ready (which just happens to be Right Now).

Well I have to say one thing this has been fun reading. And I to have a great wonderful wife of 40 years marriage this Dec 29. She also says "have a great day fishing, and what do you want me to fix as far as food so you and your fishing buddy want starve". Like I really need it as you can see. But she takes care of it for me. She never complains of the day or time I get in from fishing I think she really enjoys it, seeing me happy about fishing. Hope to celebrate many more years with her. fish

Congratulations! I hope I am half as fortunate.

I've got one that's been kicking around since college, which has been about 15 years now. Not even married...which is maybe why we haven't killed each other yet.

This thread has been a hoot to read.

Fortunately for me, I found a keeper my second time around. She doesn't give me much grief about going fishing or what I spend on it.

This past weekend I asked her which day would be better to go, Saturday or Sunday. She said she didn't care, just as long as she got rid of me for awhile!

She always tells me that "you're the best husband I've ever had.....so far" rolfmao

Like the old bumper sticker says "I got this bass boat for my wife....pretty good trade don't you think?"

Or the one that says "My wife said it was either give up fishing or she would leave me. Man, I sure am going to miss her"

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting on the water looking like a darn fool.
