I will be targeting big trout in certain areas, and reds on the edges of flats.
Now that the water is finally beginning to cool off, the fish will start relating to the darker/muddier bottom with some shell (Port A area is mainly sand). Deeper guts , pot holes, and sections of flats will be holding good numbers of fish once you find them. Once you find the fish, it will be some good fishing and there should be fish there for the next couple of months. When the tide drops out after big fronts, find good drains and edges of flats to target reds, trout, and flounder. Some of my best fishing comes on days that you wouldn't expect to be the best because the fish are stacked up and more fun than shooting fish in a barrel!

If it's cold and cloudy, find the clearest water you can, if it's sunny find the mud banks.
