I believe it was John Alexander who caught two state records from that lake. One is still in the top 50 at I believe 15 1/2 lbs. I am surprised that Ed, a big bass catching machine, doesn't have one in that top 50.

Alton,
The lake is still Great but has slowed down lately. The Big girls still live there and make an appearance every so often. I personally have caught 3 10+ bass out of there over the last 1.5 years. I was out there Friday and Saturday and the fishing is still very good. Most fish you catch are between 3 and 5lb. The grass is in a perfect state right now but over the Summer was to thick. They have been doing a terrific job managing the lake and kill the extra grass. I wish I could move there and that is in the plans for me.

If I told you guys what Ed has done on that lake, Ya'll would think I was a liar! I just wish I coulda been there with him when that lake was in it's hey-day.
Ed is a big-fish machine - he's got one helluva knack for finding those big fish! Over the years, I posted some of the bigger fish we've caught, I just need to get the pics scanned that I have and get 'em posted. That's the only way anybody would believe it. He's got 57 over 10+ lbs with the biggest being 14.75. He caught the 14.75 at Fork while his buddy was filming him so the buddy could learn how to fish a jig - it's a pretty cool video.
Anyhow, I wanna hear some more stories about Echo, I've heard all of Ed's!

I've always caught fish while there fishing with an owner. Usually, smaller fish to 5 lbs. My friend who lives there full time routinely catches larger, but I've not gotten one to boat. Lotsa fish, good structure, but as Weekender noted, grass can be too thick during summer months. Active HOA does good job managing lake. About 180 acres.
