Lake held the Texas State Record two different time.

Both fish were caught on Arkie Jigs

No, I just remember reading about it in the paper when it happened, it was before my time.

I fished it in the late 70s without much success. At the time it was a private lake and you could only fish it with a homeowner. It probably is still that way. Very small.

Your father-in-law can tell you a lot of stories about Echo. My PB LMB was caught on Echo while fishing with him. Weighed 10.4.
Caught it on a 8" grape worm. He can also tell you a story about the night we spent getting some sleep in the car while at Echo, and the escaped convict that was out on the loose roaming that area. He had been convicted of ax murders.

I've heard all of his "tired ol'Stories"!! LOL I'm just curious if anybody else has stories like that? If I were to post what he's told me about Echo, first, nobody would believe me. Secondly, Ed would dis-own me and then KILL ME!

He hates to admit it, but he lurks a good deal on the Forum!

If anyone wants to cough up $249k for this, maybe I can arrange a fishing trip for the both of us grin

3bed/2bath with 185ft of shoreline with boat lift and just in case you need it - access to a private air strip to come in on juggle

grin

I fished Echo in the '80's. I even have a Sony Super 8 video of me and a couple buddies catching bass up to 9#. The lake is not that big, but at that time it was full of big ladies. I need to transfer that video to a DVD one day.........funny as hell with lots of fish being caught.

My partner has talked about some amazing days while fishing that lake. I'm not posting because I don't believe hime, I'm just curious if there are people still around that have fished that lake and had the kind of success I've heard about.

Ed, my Father-in-law, has 57 fish over 10 lbs and a bunch were from Echo! I just like hearing the big fish stories.
