Blue and white Saltwater Series Mr Twister is best or the cheap $9 Walmart Balck and Decker. The Green and Yellow Mr Twister is a good knife but I burned up 2 in a year and a half.

good thing about the Mister Twisters is they are cheap and you can get replacement blades in different lengths-I agree that the blue version is better but i done lots of cleaning with the green and yellow versions

Maybe one of the guides on here that fillet 100 fish a day respond to this. This gets asked once a year and the Blue and white Saltwater Series Mr Twister seems to have the most followers.

I buy every electric fillet knife i see at garage sales usually between .25 and a dollar and havnt run out of them in years, Usually the knife outlasts the blades I wish i knew how to sharpen them.

Bobcat1 I went to 5 differant walMart stores and could only find Hamilton Beach brands at $19.00,So I tryed a Proter Silex and I like the blades better on it.You just have to get use to the pull trigger on it.It works great for under $14.00

Hi all! New here but here's my 2 cents. I've used a number of different knives, could never get the hang of with anything but the cheap old Mr Twister green a yellow. I can fillet even some pretty small sunfish. They're cheap enough I can afford a new every couple of years. The short blades are all I use. Hope this helps.

Black and Decker Slice Right. Walmart quit carrying them, but they can still be bought online. acehardware.com is about the cheapest considering shipping costs. I clean mostly hybrid, striper and sandies, but I cleaned a limit of crappie the other day and it works fine, I thought the blades were too wide, but it still did as good a gob as my sharkblades on my American angler knife I use to use on crappie. One will cost ya about $20 shipped to your door. They will last me a year or two. Walmart used to carry them in store for 9.97......the new knife they carry is super sharp and cuts like a dream (Hamilton Beach), but I am on #7 this year. They go out within a month each time. Thats the reason I got online and just bought a few Black and Decker knives.

We go thru lots of knives during white bass season. Three of us filet up to 250 per day. The $22 American Angler is holding up better than the T3 or Saltwater Series. We run two. When one gets hot we switch over to the other. If you continue to run them they will burn up. We go thru about 10 a season but we have tried the twister, browning, berkly, black and decker, and a few more but the one that lasts us best is the mid price American Angler at Academy. I wish someone would make a good quality commercial knife, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I know most guides that do volume agree with me. Gearing up for the white bass season. Already catching. Need to make a run to Academy to stock up on knives. Only have two new ones in my supply storage. Will start with old ones but probably need new ones shortly. Hope someone can recommend one to me. Thanks, Jane www.riverridgetx.com
