I want to learn to make crappie jigs and was wondering if anyone around the Dallas area offered lessons.

Do you have any tools or materials yet? I tie at my house and could do something but I do not formally teach lessons. I am self taught. If you have a boat we could tie some and test in Ray Hubbard as I am right off the lake.

I do have some tools already but I need o pick up some materials. I'm close to Ray Hubbard as well but my boat is at my place on Fork. I'll PM you in the next few days to see if we can meet and pass on some of the skills you have smile

Thanks

Barlows does not have classes any more.
Bass Pro sells an awesome video on tying jigs.
Also, you could come to the Texoma Tie In on Jan 22nd (see post above).
It's all fly tyers but jigs are just waited flies anyway.

Backwoods has fly tying every Wednesday. Not sure that anyone else has organized classes or lessons. Most people just figure it out.
