First of all, I have never been on that lake. But all you need to do is get some live bait (worms, minnows) and find some structure or cover that you think may hold any type of fish. If she is not a hard core bass fisherman, I would assume that she would be thrilled with catching anything often as possible. Anything like my wife, she will be bored in only a few minutes if she is not catching something.

Good luck.

Try some jigging spoons on the point across from the boat ramp kinda staircases down or the channel around the bridge I would try and keep her out of the stump fields if it were me.. Good Luck !

My fiance caught this one on a frog in the pads on Monti last year. She was already hooked on fishing but a frog bite is an awesome way to get someone to go back, they are easy to throw and well one explosion from that 5lber was the only one she caught all day but she was still smiling from ear to ear on the drive home.

Only problem is now she wants to throw a frog everywhere, even over 30 ft off water, interesting thing is occasionally she'll catch one doing that!

I understand about the frog.....took wife to Big Sam in September to pre fish and she caught a nice bass in the pads with a frog and now thats all she wants to use....i hope your wife enjoys the trip, if so its easier to buy fishing stuff and a new boat like we did this past October...and i say we cause now everytime i hook up she wants to go...lol
