What is the weirdest bait you ever used and caught a catfish on?
The other day, I was close to being done with fishing, and decided to change my setup. I put a #6 red hook directly onto a black swivel, and added one red fish-egg. Within 2 minutes I had a 14" catfish hooked.
It really supprised me, that a catfish decided that the swivel, hook, and 1 fish egg, looked edible.

I use salmon eggs at a pond that I fish at,it works great! 
I would rather have a bad day fishing,than a good day at the office!

rabbit guts, chicken guts, on bank poles or drop lines in a creek or river that is flowing pretty fast after rains.
If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, then baffle 'em with B--- S--- !!

On a lark I used one of my tonsils that I had still in the jar from my tonsilectomy. Netted me a 3 pound channel !

a old timer, that taught me a lot about cat fishing, would put baby ducks on a throw line, with a weighted line on bottom, swivel on the main line, the little duck would swim round and round all night, he taped the hook on the duck, i never had the heart to try that, but i know he caught a lot of big fish, funny thing about that old man he never ate the fish, aways gave them away, pretty cold blooded huh
