Typically Oct/ Nov fishing is some of the years best..this year it has been ok at best and some days inconsistent . It's nOw Dec 2 and the fish have turned on like I would have expected a month ago.
The last two weeks fishing has been just short of great everyday. Lures or bait hasn't mattered and deep or shallow really hasn't mattered either.
I've had some lure trip the last two weeks and finally a consistent bite. Most days chunking moe's cocomoes in shallow 3-10 foot of water has been best bit the last couple days fishing deeper water under birds has been....well, you know " hero time" smile

Birds have been working for 6weeks but until recently haven't had many fish under them...now working birds are worth checking out and them last 2weeks paid off well.
I had to fish the east side one time a week ago and did very well along the bluffs near butterfly cove. The rest of my trips have been out west from mill creek west to paw paw creek. Up until last week I was having to find fish in different spots everyday..but finally I got-em corralled up and have been fishing the same school of nice fish since Weds before Thanksgiving..

Fish now are as healthy as ever. In fact some so fat they look like footballs...bellies bursting with Shad are the norm. Also finally getting some bigger fish up to 8 Lbs. Had 2 yesterday and a few over the weekend that went 6-albs. Most fish each day have been in the 16-24 inch range and at the heavy end of the weight scale. No more small skinny fish !!!!! Getting a good number of overs each day but most in the 20-22 inch range...yesterdays big fish was 29inches.
Fishing is so good right now I hate having any days off..it just aint right..I would have rather had more time off in sept when the fishing sucked..unfortunately this time of year is always slow... I wanna take advantage of this great fishing while it lasts...I'm going to offer a weekday special to The TFF..I'll take up to 5 people for my minimum rate of $350. Just FYI a 5 person trip would normally be $600. That's a saving of $50 - $250 per trip.
Typically I don't believe in discounting my services , but I'd rather be fishing than sitting home cutting firewood while the fishing is so good .
This offer will only last on trips booked and taken from now thru The end of Jan 2011.

VIP,replied to your PM...bite has been lasting most of the day from what I can tell..last few days we have been starting at 8am and leaving them biting around noon to 1pm..I'm guessing they are biting all day long this time of year
