title says it all, what do you guys recommend?
I plan on using it mainly as a drop shot/finesse rod with light line.

I really like the Shimano Stradic. Used them for years and have had no issues.

I like the Stradic or the Symetre. They are both the right balance of quality and price. And they will last many moons.

You would be happy with Diawa's also. Just pick any one with Digigear and you will have a smooth reel.

I love my stradic but have symetry and saharas also. I used to only fish fairy wands but now only use them for dropshotting. If you want a good deal on one, I could part with one of my symetrys or saharas. Let me know and I will give you a price.

I agree with those Shimano reels also. I just bought two pflueger arbor reels and really like them for the money also.

US Reel Supercaster with the big spool is pretty nice. Switched to it and the ads are true!!!! They cast much farther and manage florocarbon better than reels with standard spools. You'd be real happy!!!

I've got one egg beater and the Shimano Saros 2500 has been a good reel to me.

Shimano Sahara is a nice reel for about $70. I love mine.
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.
