Anybody ever caught them from the bank. I have been catching tons of white bass, even a few good large mouth bass from the back but was hoping to hook into a hybrid. If so, what time of the year is best. I was thinking as the water temp dropped, the hybrids would move into the shallows to feed. I have always just fished for large mouth but want to catch a hybrid. They look like they would be very fun to catch.

Thanks

During the early spring people line up at the dam to catch the hybrids running the shad in shallow water. Right now the hybrids are coming into the shallow water chashing the shad but it seems they hang out right where the water drops off into the deeper water which means out of casting range from the bank (for most places). You are right, the hybrids are a blast to catch. In my opinion, pound for pound they are one of the strongest, fastest fish (maybe 2nd to only the Redfish).

I agree , springtime is the best. If you know someone
with a lighted dock, you might catch some at night right
now.

Are you the guy I need to call to complain about the Weather ?

Fishing is not a matter of life or death,
it's much more important than that!
