I fished Fork Saturday and caught only 9 with no size.... Couldnt get anything going deep or shallow, but I saw two younger guys in a old blue skeeter sit in one spot and catch about 50 in an hour or so. I got my second wind when I saw them catching so I ran around and hit some more spots with no good results! Loading the boat up the same two guys were loading up and I asked them a few questions... Guy said they had caught about 60 up to 7 and that he had caught 63 the day before by himself with 3 over 8...!!! I just want to know if I was out there doing all the wrong stuff or if others struggled? Besides those two guys!

Did you ask them what they were using? Sounds like they found a school and knocked it out. 10 to 15 feet deep I'm guessing?

Yea the guy was very helpful with what they were doing but I was doing close to the same ... I guess some guys are just good haha!! They were catching them deep in 25-35 foot.

My problem with fishing deep is getting my boat in the spot I want it to be and keeping it there. I just bought a new digger anchor so hopefully this will help.

I know from reading a lot on here that it was rough for a lot of people but some had success.

I fished Fork on Saturday and ended up catching about 40 for the day.(about 6 hours). I would guess 10 were over 4lbs and 2 were over 6lbs. I started out fishing a chartruse swimbait but didn't get a bite until I paused once to work out a back-lash (only one of the day---I promise) and when I started the reel again it was almost jerked out of my hand. After that I started fishing very, very slow and allowing the swimbait to drop to the bottom often. More than half my bites came on the fall.
