As Carey, myself, KaLub, and a few others have been preaching to you for months now, the winter crappie season starts around Thanksgiving or first frost, whichever comes first! This year, they both came at the same time, and the crappie are arriving right on schedule!

Fished at my "culvert", under the streetlight, next to the bridge, behind the fast food joint tonight, and WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!

From 5:30pm-7:30pm, the crappie bit steadily! Hit blue/white tube jig on a 1/32 nd oz UNPAINTED jig head, on 6 lb Trilene XL, on my quantum Optix 10 ultralight rig!

Final tally, 22 crappie, 13 of which were keepers! 9 throwbacks!

13 nice ones ready for the fillet knife, stocking up for Lent early this year!

Go get ya some! It's almost too easy right now!
