I give every day I get to fish a 10, even if I don't catch anything!

We went to Pat Cleburne Wednesday when it was windy as Hell and caught bass in good numbers for that lake, even in the wind. Found some protected coves and stuck with them. Good numbers but not quality fish. This morning we hit Squaw hoping for quality and numbers.

This time of year fishing = Bass fishing's finest hour.
The skiers are gone, the jet skis are gone, the cigar boats are gone, many of the fishermen are hunting and the fish are biting.Lake Tenkiller NE Okla. is on fire-big smallies.I luv it.

hit or miss.... usually my favorite time of the year to fish, but it can be trying at time. I usually like it because when you locate the fish they are plenty to catch.

For the past 25 years (I'm only 33 :)) I've switched over to furry things about October. I'm convinced that all the hype about "fall fishing" is intended to sell magazines and crankbaits smile Really, I bet they do bite if you've got the TOW to figure out where/what they are doing this time of year. I just don't have it.

The more people that switch to furry things the better. One of my favorite things about winter is having the lake or at least most of it to myself. Winter isn't harder. It's just different. I've had some of my most amazing and memorable days of fishing in December and January.
