This is my first year in it so just wondering how would you rank this time of the year in bass fishing?

I'm having some troubles locating schools and a lot of fish for that matter in general over the last few weeks.

Was thinking about Fork for the weekend...also thought about Ray Roberts, Monticello....not sure yet

You may want to add Texoma to your rotation. IMO its by far the best winter time cold water lake around here.

IMO, it's all about TOW.

A lot can be learned while catching them or not.

It will be in the mid 60's tomorrow and sunday. Will the cold front still affect these days you think?

Fish are eating pretty good between fronts. Great time of year to target big fish.

I went fishing yesterday evening and fished until 2pm today. We didn't kill them last night but caught some fish, morning bite was pretty decent. It was cold though.

Will they chase moving baits like CB and SB or do you use soft plastics and jigs slowing it down?

1-10 scale, I would give it a 9!! Lakes are free of traffic for the most part, fish are always biting and you can really catch some big ones. My favorite time to fish.

Would be according to how your fish are feeding and how they are responding to the fronts. Just a couple degree water temp difference can make a big difference in fish activity. When feeding they will definitely eat the moving baits.

now and pre-spawn, lucky for us in Texas, we only have 1 to 1 1/2 months of "off" period. and even then, a few warm days in a row and it can be good.

Bass fishing is like a 30,000 acre golf course with no flags and five holes you can't see- Tim
