I would'nt have minded catching that carp that was worth a quarter of a million dollars in Austin a few weeks ago. Then I could afford gas to go to the fishing hole. Sweet!

You just can't have a civil discussion around the Eurotrashfisher wannabee's. If they would KEEP some of the fish they catch and utilize this Wonderful resource instead of sitting around waiting for their bite alarm to go off after their self setting terminal rigging goes to work maybe we could all get along.

Say rickt300,
Since bassmasterburn26 is not answering me. How would you like to go fishing in the morning at lake Grapevine. I know where the crappie are hiding. Or you can fish for bass if you like. They're in there.

I plan on fishing a few mornings next week if you're interested. I caught a couple of nice channel cats this morning about 2 lbs each, also had sandies and crappie, bluegill, goggle eye, redear too.
Let me know and we'll set it up.

Eurotrashfisher wannabee's? Man I must have had a tough night at work. I apologize for my insensitivity and the fact that this time it wasn't the carpers being the problem.

wow boys, simmer down a little. alan and mark dont let these carp killers rall u up. there just jelous that we catch more cats while carp fishing than they do when targeting them. just for fun lets have a FRIENDLY cat tourney.me and mark will use carp rigs, and we will take on any of u 2 catfisherman but all fishing is to be from the bank. the cat guys can even pick the lake. plus i have always wondered how good a shad would work on a hair rig.(hehe).50 bucks per team, winners make 50 bucks. But if we win yall can never say a negative word about carpers on here again.same goes for us , but we never havetalk bad about catfisherman. put up or shut up boys.if you take this challenge bring cash to the lake, we will do the same. remember this is for fun, not to fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont fish for a living but i LIVE TO FISH!

Well Kev, I see you didn't define it as a stringer weight, or quantity of fish tournament?? Heck, if it's quantity of fish tournament caught within a defined period of time, this old punch bait fisherman might want in on this one. I personally don't care about tournament fishing, since I don't believe in keeping big fish that I have zero intention of eating, out of the water for more than a few seconds.

maytag, i would fish with u anytime, becouse like u, i never keep anything i dont intend to eat.as for the tourney, i was using this as a way to make peace between a few caters that dont respect the carp brigade and the carp brigade itself.i just love to catch really big fish, take a pic and let them live to see another day.i do keep a few small cats every now and then to eat though.hey a know of sweet pond for channels if u ever want to hook up.
I dont fish for a living but i LIVE TO FISH!
