I remember days of old when you could anchor off the dam at Tawakoni and fish worms below a bobber and slay the channel cats. At what water temp or time of year does that happen? I know we have got to be getting close. I don't remember using cubes or corn to attract them either. Does anyone know?

An old saying that works good for channel cats...

"When you see the combines cutting wheat, the spawn is on."

I think in Texoma at 63 degrees we are still about 5-9 degrees too cold. Don't know about Tawakoni?

Right now I'd be looking for the kitties near where the crappie are spawning. They love a good plate of crappie as well as any of us. laugh
