Walked down to the dock this AM , birds were working across
the lake, caught this one on a rsr jigging spoon,
silver glitter. I was using a flys by night fly in white
chartruse above it. I felt a sandbass hit it first, the
hybrid nailed the jiggin spoon on the way in.

action died quickly , then saw birds working towards the
dam, picked up a few there, it was over by 9;30,
wind picked up and I was back at the house by 10;30.

Will try again after football if the wind dies down.

WOW!! What a great day on the pond today. Found some really good sandbass action under the birds and some nice Hybrids under the sandbass. All Hybrids caught on 5" Sassy Shad with a 1 ounce head south of 155 bridge from noon till 5pm. Lost count, but prolly had a dozen or so that went 19-22 inches and then the two 23 inchers and one 25 inch pictured below. Sorry for the tape measure, I need a longer scale.

Good job ETF! Heard you was on some fish today so I was waiting for your post to update the board with the totals to date.

I'm seeing a little over 25.125" on that biggest fish, but the tape isn't quite parallel with your board. I'm gonna log it in at 25.125", I think thats fair from what I see in the pictures.... NOTE: If anyone has an objection to how I'm recording the 3rd fish send me a PM and we'll discuss it.

Danny those are nice Hybrids. I knew when I looked over and saw you and the rod doubled over that it must be a good one. Then you pulled it out of the water. From were I was at, you could tell it was a Big one. Nice catch! We had just sat and talked about catching some bigger than 22" a couple hours before. Then you took off and put the MOJO on some nice Hybrids. Thats good fishing!

The Hybrids were hard to find today, searched high and low and finally found a nice group of 19-22"ers. I am posting a picture of one of the fish caught today, not for the board, but to show the quality of fish Lake Palestine is offering right now. Maybe someone from the TPWD will see this and suggest they keep stocking Palestine with more Hybrids. I ended up catching and releasing about 8 good Hybrids and a ton of sandies, even a few LMB.

You are correct, those are quality fish. I would love for my lake to have hybrids like that.

Caught this 9.5 lb at 9:30 AM on Tuesday 11/23/10 trolling a Bomber 6A
north of the 155 bridge. With it’s mouth closed & tail pinched it measured
26 ผ inches. Also caught a 25 incher – too many big fish hitting on the surface
to stop & get the camera out. Been having 30-40 fish days lately.

Wow, with fish like that theres no reason to go to Tawakoni. Never fished north of the bridge. Do you fish the open looking area between the bridge and the timber? Well I have fished a couple spots north on the coffee city side of the lake.
