Tried Joe Pool Saturday morning for a couple of hours at Lloyd Park with not even a bite. I tried the range cubes and could not buy a bite. I am ready for Britton to open back up for some catfishing.

Hey David, does britton close for the winter months ?? Need to get them cat holes jumping,so you can show me a thing or two.
I think the weather is going to finally let me get the boat out. I'll take my wife for her first ride and then its down to buisness with the fishing.

Talk to ya later,
Vance

Hey Procraft how is it going. Yes they close Britton from Oct. or Nov. to Feb. I think I know they used to close it during the winter. I was at a website the other day and it said the same thing. This weather is just not working in your favor to get that new boat out. I t will not be to long now though.

DLEE- I live very close to joe pool and have tried many times there for cats-have caught a bunch a small cats and a few 1-2 pounders. This lake i believe is just good for skiing and ALOT of jet-skiers. They did stock the lake last year w/about 3,000 small cats (prob why i was catching alot of small ones) maybe in a few years fishing may be ok there

Clifford, sounds like you have given up on the catfish at Joe Pool.I also live very close to Joe Pool on the Cedar Hill side.If you haven't given up on the lake maybe we could get together sometime. Also have you ever tried Lake Arlington for catfishing?

Fisherman3-I HAVE pretty much given up on that lake. Also alot of people I have talked to have not had any luck at that lake also. I have fished Arl. also and not had much luck w/cats. but have had luck on crappie and sandies when they are runnin. My favorite is Eagle mt. I wouldnt mind trying Joe Pool again sometime just for a quick trip.
